The Painted Desert: PART XX
Continued...
This is the last from the series so we leave the Painted Desert hoping for an opportunity to return there again some time. In 1987 10,000 Maniacs with Natalie Merchant produced the song " The Painted Desert" a beautiful work which went largely unnoticed but it is well worth listening to if you have the time.

Your tribute to the Painted Desert has been quite awesome! I wonder if you have a set of photos from your homeland, even though I don't know where that is? You've taken beautiful photos of many areas of the U.S. Peace

Thank you, Mary Sue. You are very kind. I was born in South Africa lived there some forty odd years then moved to Australia and I lived in Sydney for ten years and then moved to Wilmington, NC where I have lived for the past four years. I have thousands of photos on Xanga and it is becoming more and more difficult to find them but you can see some of my work on my website:

My goodness! Do you work for National Geographic or something? I didn't go through all the categories on your website but I can tell you that I really need to go to Austraila now! Willow Springs...The Great Ocean Road, I've added those to my bucket list. Thank you for sharing. Peace
