Hi Lynn, Just the usual - jeans and a shirt. I have decided that I was on a mission to get photos and since I was carrying two cameras and flasguns, batteries and water I could not afford to have something interfere with my faceand the camera. So I was sticking out like a sore thumb but I don't think anybody noticed.
But unfortunately the college kids ruined it for everyone. Now the celebration parties have gone underground and by invitation only. It's sort of fun that way too. Our parade however is gone.
Thank you for the link, Lynn. I did not know about this and I do not know how it pans out in New Orleans but the police there are very strict. The festivities are spread through out the city which which keep everyone from gathering in one place. I also think that the more than 100 year old tradition keeps it in check to a certain extent. I left the scene towards mid afternoon and I have no idea what happened that evening. While I was there, no police presence was necessary. I did not see anyone misbehaving. Thank you for wanting to rec. I do not know what is wrong but it does not bother me. I hope you have a great weekend.

I just looked back at all the photos I'd missed. Love all the great costumes! What did you wear?

@MaartenVenter - hahahahaha. I tried to rec this, but it won't let me. The pictures are wonderful. We use to have a smaller parade here in San Luis Obispo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Luis_Obispo_Mardi_Gras_controversy
