  • Sierra Nevada: PART III

Finally we got to the snow in the highest parts of the mountains and soon we were descending to reach Mono Lake. The Tufas were much larger than I anticipated. Tufas were formed when "Carbonated" water springs dumped the minerals into these formations in a process similar to that which forms Stalactites and Stalagmites but this happened underwater.

  • Sierra Nevada: PART I

A few days before we could not cross the mountains via Tioga Pass because of the snow storm but the road was cleared and we decided to go to Mono Lake so we could see a different view of the area.

  • Yosemite: PART VII

I notice some bad sky in some of the photos and I would like to apologize for it. I am still finding it hard to reduce the size of some  photos without the artifacts appearing. Earlier I asked the question: How big are these trees? The answer is quite frankly: I don't know. You be the judge.
